While everyone is sipping on their Pumpkin Spiced Lattes and decorating their house for fall, Kentucky is has everyone reaching for their rain boots. Your girl is so over the rain, but the delay of fall’s arrival has provided some good reading time, since I’ve been stuck inside once chores are done. This has given me a good chance to get ahead in my reading schedule, which is helpful considering my day job is starting to get really busy. We’re t-minus 40 days from our premier event of the year, and 55 days from our annual convention, which is my primary job task to plan. So I’ve been trying to get my November reading done- because I know I’ll be swamped- on top of my September and October reading! Thank goodness for audiobooks, lol.

Wrapping up this month, I reviewed the following:

  1. Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
  2. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
  3. This Is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel
  4. Truly Madly Guilty / Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarity
  5. The Girl With No Name by Diney Costeloe
  6. Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
  7. 31 Days of Gratitude by Shilamida
  8. Fat Girl Walking by Brittany Gibbons
  9. I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika Sánchez
  10. The Summer Garden by Paullina Simons
  11. Vox by Christina Dalcher
  12. The Rain Watcher by Tatiana de Rosnay

I also posted a surprise post, in which I was (slightly self) nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award! The blogger from  Thoughts Stained In Ink, Nicole, added me to her list of nominations so that I could tackle her awesome questions! I had a blast, so if you missed that post, here’s the link!

I also wrote this fun little thought piece on…. DRUMROLLLLLL….

MY BIRTHDAY!

Haha as you all know I get pretty pumped about my birthday, which I’ve been told is a youth thing but hey, you’re only as old as you feel right? (My great-grandmother was 94 and dancing with an Elvis impersonator on her last birthday, and she said she never felt so young, haha! #goals). I decided to hold a giveaway with one of the gorgeous clothbound classics, Pride and Prejudice, as well as a notebook, bookmark, and button pin.

The winner is Nirmala from Red Lips and Bibliomanics! Congratulations!!!

I can’t think of a better way to wrap up September, and I can’t wait to keep this momentum rolling into October!
