What made me try this product? Why did I need it?

In full disclosure*, I was contacted about trying this product, but the reason I agreed was because this seemed like a no-brainer! As someone who loves to read in bed, I thought this was an ingenious product that combined the need for a bookmark and for a reading light. Why not put the two together?!

How does it work?

The Aluratek bookmark has a slim design that is thicker than the average paper bookmark, but still thin for containing a rechargeable battery- only 1/8th of an inch. A 30 minute USB charge will give the bookmark up to 10 hours of LED white light, which is bright enough to read by, but not so bright as to disturb those around you- great for those with sleeping partners, travelers on public transportation, or even kiddos who want to stay up past their bedtime reading! A simple squeeze of the button marked on the back of the bookmark will light up the Aluratek’s face- a second squeeze will turn it off. It’s a very user-friendly, easy to use product.

I am SOLD on these bookmarks. I’m one of those people who makes a bookmark out of anything- paper scraps, receipts, junkmail – but this bookmark is so handy that I seek it out for my books. I especially like to keep it on my nightstand because it’s been really great for reading in bed- no more reaching for the light when I’m ready to sleep, just click the button and close the book. The Aluratek is super lightweight, the light is bright but not overpowering for my super sensitive blue eyes, and it truly is a thin plastic-type material that isn’t so thick that your book won’t close. The price point is fantastic too- affordable and comparable to (or better than) others on the market. In addition, those that I’ve been in contact with for this product have been fantastic- they’re super responsive, answer questions, and are very informative about the product, so I’m really pleased with their customer service.

Absolutely! So much so that I’m going to be giving away TWO of these babies to TWO lucky winners, in addition to a book of choice each! For more details, visit my bookstagram, where I’ve posted the giveaway announcement!
