Goodreads Rating: 5 Stars

Review:

I received this book as a Christmas gift from some wonderful equines and their owners (Thanks Judy & John Paul!) and it truly is a gift.

The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse is a beautiful collection of illustrations by Mackesy, with a poetic narrative about a young boy who meets a series of animals. They contemplate some of life’s biggest questions, challenges, and concerns.

In a quick, simplistic manner, Mackesy’s books create a sweet short story reminiscent of Winnie the Pooh. Full of charm, heartwarming sentiment, and human curiosity, Mackesy has created something for all readers, no matter their ages.

Honestly, you will want a copy of this book. I cannot recommend it enough, and this review is going to stay short and sweet, just like Mackesy’s The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse.

Expected Publication Date: October 22, 2019

TL/DR: The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse by Charlie Mackesy is an illustrated short story about a boy and the creatures he meets.
